House Bill (HB) 110, the budget bill of the 134th General Assembly, mandated new requirements for school districts regarding transportation of students to community schools and non-public schools. In turn, the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) has put a transportation compliance monitoring system in place which allows for monitoring and enforcement of transportation responsibilities outlined in Ohio Revised Code 3327.01, 3327. 016, and division (B) of 3327.017.

As part of these new requirements, school transportation directors and school superintendents or treasurers must sign a “List of Assurances” form and submit it to ODE no later than Aug. 1.

Join OASBO, BASA, and OSBA on May 25 at 10 a.m. for a webinar where we will walk participants through the List of Assurances form and the 14 questions and statements on the form to which districts must respond. ODE personnel will be on hand to answer questions from participants.
