Following the historic vote in the House last year, the Fair School Funding Plan has reemerged as the House’s top priority for the 134th General Assembly. The Fair School Funding Plan, introduced as House Bill (HB) 1, is scheduled for three hearings this week. The Workgroup testified on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, with the education associations providing testimony on Thursday morning. Invited proponent testimony is scheduled for Monday, March 1 at 1:00 pm. Similar to last year, we plan to submit testimony in support of HB 1 by region. If you signed on to support your regional testimony for HB 305 during the last General Assembly, there is no need to sign on again. You and your district will be represented in HB 1 testimony.
