Thank you to our legislative representatives at
ASBO International for being our “boots on the ground” in D.C. and providing members with the most up-to-date information on federal legislation. If you have not already done so, please take a minute to review the
updates posted to the Advocacy Hub, provided by ASBO International related to the most recent round of federal funding.
In addition, the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Elementary and Secondary Education released a
fact sheet comparing ESSER funds under the CARES Act (ESSER I) and ESSER funds under the recently-passed CRRSA Act (ESSER II). The fact sheet provides information related to when funds are available, the deadline for when state educational agencies (SEA) must award funds, how funds may be used, equitable services and maintenance of effort (MOE) provisions, and reporting and tracking requirements for these funds.
Details related to the distribution of these funds will be communicated by the Ohio Department of Education in the near future.
