HB 458 – August Special Election, First Senate Hearing

On Tuesday, the Senate Local Government and Elections Committee heard sponsor testimony on House Bill 458. This bill would eliminate the August Special Election except under limited circumstances. School districts and other political subdivisions need every opportunity to pass a local bond issue, an operating levy, and other issues necessary for their communities.
