The Senate Ways and Means Committee heard testimony last week on House Bill (HB) 123, the bill that modifies the community reinvestment area (CRA) property tax abatement program and school boards' involvement in the process. OASBO provided joint testimony in position to this legislation.
In addition, a number of members submitted opposing testimony on the bill, including Todd Griffith of Licking Heights Local Schools, Nicholas Ciarnello of Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools, and Bill Blakely of Edgerton Local Schools.
We will keep members informed of any additional hearings on this bill. To read our full testimony, click here.
