How many years have you been in the school business profession?

How did you first learn about and then become involved in the school business profession?

I have always been aware of the business side of schools since I began my career. However, it wasn't until I was a superintendent that I really understood and appreciated the role of a school treasurer. It opened my eyes to a new side of schools that brought together my passion for students and finance.


What is your proudest career accomplishment?

I have positively impacted the school experience for students as a teacher, administrator, superintendent and CFO.


What do you feel is the most important part of your job?

That I get to work with amazing educators everyday to help maximize the potential of every student that attends our schools.


What is one thing you feel makes your district unique in the state?

We average 3.5 hour board meetings :)


What is something your colleagues would be surprised to learn about you?

When I am not working as a CFO, I own and run a roofing and Christmas lighting company.

Too hard to pick just one! I love to go to the movies!

What has been the best, or your favorite part, of being involved in OASBO?

The willingness of everyone to help support the professional growth of each other. I have been so impressed with the extent of the professional learning community of OASBO!
